Sophisticated diagrams and dashboards
ILOG JViews Diagrammer is the most comprehensive set of Java tools, components and libraries for creating graphical editing, visualization, supervision and monitoring tools. Both diagrams–displays used to show the relationships between objects–and dashboards–displays for monitoring business or industrial systems–can be easily created.

Point-and-click editors and a full software development kit (SDK)
ILOG JViews Diagrammer offers a powerful set of services to help developers quickly and efficiently create
diagrams and dashboards. It provides several design tools to automate application production without coding. These tools address the different aspects of producing appropriate content-based diagram and dashboard displays. ILOG JViews Diagrammer is shipped with a fully extensible SDK, so all aspects of the look and feel of the final application can be tailored.

Maximum flexibility
In addition to the Symbol and Dashboard Editors, ILOG JViews Diagrammer offers a complete set of components and development kits to assemble, customize and feed the user interface. With a robust model view controller (MVC) architecture, a clear separation between data and screen representations is maintained. The data model is completely open and extensible, enabling its connection to other application components. Notification is automatic and transparent. When the data model changes, displays are automatically updated, and when a user interacts with a display, its model changes accordingly. The underlying vector-graphics foundation and the graph layout algorithms can be leveraged at any time.

Automatic graph layout algorithms
ILOG JViews Diagrammer includes a dozen layout algorithms that automatically rearrange graphic objects to make diagrams easier to understand. They include the most popular node, link and label algorithms, which can be used separately or together to create a wide variety of diagrams: hierarchical, tree, radial tree, circular and more. Sub-processes or sub-networks can be displayed and edited as sub-graphs that expand and collapse in place. Graphs are kept manageable and can be expanded upon demand.

Also included are ready-to-tailor diagram editors, ideal for creating custom end-user modeling tools. These editors, such as the business process modeling notation (BPMN) editor, are delivered with source code and take full advantage of ILOG JViews Diagrammer's graph layout features.

Ready for the Web
ILOG JViews Diagrammer applications can be deployed as desktop clients, Eclipse plug-ins, or in a browser as applets or rich Web clients. For Web deployment, specialized off-the-shelf JavaServer Faces (JSF) and Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (Ajax) components are available to display and interact with graphical views, overviews, toolbars and contextual menus. In addition to traditional visualization and monitoring functions, Ajax behavior provides powerful in-place editing capabilities, such as adding objects to a diagram, connecting entities interactively, showing contextual popup menus, and editing an object's attributes, with immediate synchronization with the underlying data models on the server.
